CPI(M) Launches Website Ahead of 24th Party Congress

As the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) approaches, senior leaders have launched a new website to engage the public. The Congress will take place in Madurai from April 2 to 6.

CPI(M) State Secretary P. Shanmugam, along with other leaders including K. Balakrishnan, Su. Venkatesan, and ‘Madukkur’ S. Ramalingam, introduced the website during an event. Mr. Shanmugam explained that the website will allow people to share their thoughts on important issues and make suggestions for improvements. He emphasized that the party will use the feedback to enhance its efforts.

Comrade Shanmugam also mentioned that this Congress will provide hope for those feeling disillusioned due to recent changes driven by the ruling BJP government. He expressed that the event will strengthen the Left parties’ ability to counter the Hindutva ideology and promote unity among people of different beliefs.

Comrade K. Balakrishnan noted that the BJP government is attempting to create divisions among communities instead of focusing on economic development and harmony. He highlighted the BJP’s failed attempts to politicize religious issues, such as the Tirupparankundram temple, which the people of Madurai rejected by showing they are not interested in religious politics.

Comrade Su. Venkatesan praised the party cadre for creating a video that resonates with all generations. He pointed out that Communists have always embraced modernity and used technology for the benefit of society. He added that the party is leveraging social media to spread its ideas and educate the public on Communist philosophies.

Additionally, a Tamil Communist Podcast was launched during the event, which will be available on all audio platforms.
